What is an Institutional Repository?

Welcome to Digital Knowledge (DK)

Digital Knowledge (DK) is an online repository at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT). DK serves as an online archive for the collection, preservation and distribution of CPUT research output as well as associated digital assets. DK is an Open Access repository making academic research available freely to enhance further research worldwide.

The purpose of this guide is to assist students, researchers and staff to use Digital Knowledge effectively. This guide will explain:

  • How to register as a DK user;
  • How to upload new material;
  • Where to find any related policies and procedures;
  • Where to find help.

What can I find on DK?

Theses and dissertations constitute the primary collection, in addition to published and unpublished research articles, presentations, posters and various other associated documents produced at CPUT.

Document formats include text, images, audio-visual and three-dimensional digital objects.
