E-Books: E-Books in Databases

via Databases

The eBooks in these databases usually have no limits on the number of users who can access the book simultaneously. Titles can be read online through the database or can be downloaded onto a device. The downloaded title will remain on your device for as long as you wish.  There is usually no limit to the number of pages that can be printed from these e-books. Please consider copyright laws before printing.

Cambridge Core CPUT has access to a number of mathematics and physics ebooks on this platform. Access granted via Cambridge Core platform ; https://www-cambridge-org.libproxy.cput.ac.za/core

De Gruyter CPUT users have access to selected titles in arts and humanities, social sciences, science, technology, and medicine. Access granted via a Primo search on our Library website.

IOP Science CPUT users have access to a large number of titles in the Concise Physics and Expanding Physics series of IOP ebooks. Access granted via Primo search, filter: resource type: choose Databases.

ScienceDirect - CPUT Libraries has access to over 1000 ScienceDirect ebooks that deal with food technology, textile technology, science and engineering topics.

SpringerLink - CPUT Libraries has purchased several Springer ebook subject collections.  The Springer ebooks cover a variety of topics, including business, biomedical and life sciences, earth and environmental sciences, engineering, education, mathematics, robotics and physics.  These ebooks may be accessed by an unlimited number of users simultaneously. 

Taylor and Francis - CPUT users have access to a small number of Taylor and Francis ebooks which deal with education, renewable energy and local knowledge research in South Africa.

Wiley Online - CPUT users have access to a limited number of ebooks on the Wiley platform. These titles mostly deal with education, food technology and nursing.
