What is DMPTool?

Data Management Plan Tool  (DMPTool) is a free online tool that help researchers to create data management plan for different grant funding agencies. Why DMP? Research funders have data sharing policies and often require researchers to meet certain data management criteria. SHERPA JULIET provides a useful summary of funding bodies’ policies, see NRF funding policy. When applying for funding, researchers may be required to submit a technical or data management plan. 

Applicants may be required to provide Details of Research as well as Data Management and Utilisation. In answering this section the CPUT DMP Tool provides guidance and answers for applicants to answer this section.
