For Researchers: Research visibility and Impact

Maximize the visibility and impact of  your research publications through  researcher profiles using different tools and systems such as:

• REGISTER  for an ORCID iD.  Let the world discover you:  ORCID provides unique persistent digital identifier that helps millions of researchers to connect all kinds of research outputs. Complete ORCID account by adding personal details like names, education, employment, Funder, publications, keywords, country, websites, email addresses

• Share outputs of your research via CPUT Institutional Repository (IR) containing the research output published by CPUT researchers.

• Improve your research data  metrics by sharing through Data repositories like Figshare

• Scopus, an accredited citation analysis tool that provides bibliometric data for authors, university rankings in the research excellence exercise.  Researchers can view and analyze their publications. 

• Track research impact using Impact measures like Scopus, Publish or Perish (PoP), and more by generating citation analysis reports of:

- Citation Counts

- h-index and 

- Altmetrics (Alternative metrics) -  

• Open Google Scholar account and link or add your publications

• Open an account and engage in social networking communities like LinkedIn, Research gate, Mendeley,  Academia.edu, Blog, Research blogging, Tweet
