The sources of library statistics include: ALEPH and PRIMO (which no longer exist), ALMA, PRIMO VE, the Statistics Database, MIS, gate readings, counter reports, vendor feedback reports, monthly and quarterly reports, Google Analytics, social media sites, libguides, etc. The statistics recorded go as far back as acceptable statistics are available, irrespective of the source.
Statistics change constantly and it is therefore best practice to draw statistics at a specific date or time of the year and use those figures as the verified figures for the year. MIS statistics are usually finalised in July for the previous year (e.g. enrolments). While I have included 2021 figures for some MIS reports, these may change. Some reports, e.g. the Enrolment projection plan 2020-2025 are also included.
Below are links to various library statistics over a period of years in summary format and some reports from MIS which may be of interest. These supplement the widgets available on ALMA.
NOTE: During 2021 CPUT Libraries were closed at various times during the year due to COVID-related issues. When open, access to seating and borrowing were restricted.
